What are the contributions of semiotics and structuralism to our understanding of media texts? Briefly explain each theory and apply to particular texts of your choice to help illustrate the theories. Select texts from any media, e.g., reality TV or radio news or indie films or a broadsheet or even a website, etc. It may be one or any number of texts, depending on how well you use them to demonstrate the semiotic or structural meanings texts produce. On the other hand, how have the theories of poststructuralism and postmodernism challenged the semiotic/structuralist view of media texts and readers? How would you compare these frameworks with that of the uses and gratifications approach from the limited effects paradigm?

Ayoko naaaaaa…..

Nakaka-7 pages na ako dito…sabi pa naman sa instructions…answers must be concise and need not be kilometric; substance is what matters, not bulk. Patay.

Ayoko naaaaa…..

Medyo nahihirapan pa akong ipag-distinguish ang post-structuralism at post-modernism. Lintek na mga poste yan!!! Gyuuuunesss…

Ayoko na talaga…..
